The guesthouse is situated approximately 20 km from Klatovy and it is considered as an imaginary gateway to the Sumava National Park´s foothills offering its visitors many interesting places during all the seasons of the year.
If you decide to stay near the guesthouse, you can find the Hnačov camping site situated right next to the Hnačov Pond. You can rent a boat, windsurfing, and many other equipment there. A pleasant footpath will lead you straight to the camping.
Less than 5 km from our guesthouse there is a town called Plánice which is famous as it is a birthplace of Mr František Křižík – inventor of an arc lamp.
The royal town of Klatovy (approximately 20 km from us) is famous for its historical monuments, such as the Black Tower, catacombs, baroque pharmacy and many others.
Sušice, a small town situated about 25 km from the guesthouse, is a well-known so called Gate to the Šumava National Park with many historical monuments and tourist attractions.
In the summer months, the neighbourhood of the guesthouse offers many possibilities for cycling, hiking or various excursions into the Šumava National Park.
In winter, you can enjoy cross-country ski trails and ski resorts such as Nýrsko, Kašperské Hory or directly in Železná Ruda or Špičák; under condition that there is enough snow. The closest ski slope suitable for families with children is in Kocourov only 8 km from the guesthouse!
